The Red Carpet Nightclub in St. Cloud is shaking up its usual cocktail-and-dance floor routine by rolling in a lineup of classic arcade games and pinball machines. Patrons can now step away from the bar to challenge each other on vintage staples like Ms. Pac-Man and a Ghostbusters-themed pinball table. The move is meant to bring a casual, nostalgic energy to the venue, giving guests something to do between sets or while waiting for a drink.
But the retro gaming setup is just part of the story. This June, the nightclub is also hosting Cirque Du Cloud, a live performance event that blends circus-style acrobatics with nightlife spectacle. The show is tied to a fundraising effort for a local cause, adding a layer of community purpose to the evening. Organizers say they want to offer something different from the typical club scene, mixing old-school arcade fun with high-energy performance art.
The combination of pinball, Ms. Pac-Man, and a circus act might seem unusual, but the Red Carpet is betting that a little variety will draw in both nostalgic older crowds and younger patrons looking for a fresh night out. For now, the arcade machines are set up near the main lounge, and the club plans to rotate in more titles over the summer.
