The latest update for Forza Horizon 6 has quietly changed how players buy used cars, and it is a surprisingly welcome shift. Instead of scrolling through a static menu screen, you can now walk through a physical dealership lot inside the game world. The cars sit under flickering neon signs, hoods up or tires scuffed, and you can inspect them before making an offer.
This is not just a cosmetic change. Each used car now comes with a visible wear rating that affects its starting performance. A beat-up 1990s hatchback might have a cracked windshield or a misaligned bumper, but it also costs significantly less than a pristine model. You can haggle with the dealer by choosing dialogue options, and if you walk away, the price might drop the next time you visit. It adds a layer of negotiation that was missing from the series.
The update also ties into the festival atmosphere. Dealerships are scattered across the map, each with a different inventory based on the region. A coastal lot might stock more convertibles and off-road buggies, while a dusty inland dealer favors muscle cars and trucks. This makes exploring the world feel more rewarding because you never know what you might find sitting on a lot.
Longtime players will appreciate that the update does not force you into this system. You can still buy cars from the traditional menu if you want speed and convenience. But for those who enjoy a bit of role-playing, the new dealerships turn a simple transaction into a small adventure. It is a small touch, but it makes Horizon 6 feel more alive.
