The Tribeca Festival has announced its official games lineup for 2025, featuring 12 titles that span the spectrum from major studio sequels to daring experimental indies. This year's selection leans heavily into narrative-driven experiences and unique visual styles, with a few surprises that have already generated significant buzz in the gaming community.
Leading the pack is the sequel to a popular Remedy Entertainment title, which promises to expand on the studio's signature blend of supernatural action and live-action storytelling. While details remain under wraps, early previews suggest it will push the boundaries of interactive cinema. Alongside it, several smaller studios are showing off projects that defy easy categorization. One standout is a hand-drawn adventure set in a collapsing city where every choice reshapes the environment. Another is a first-person exploration game that uses only sound and light to guide players through a dark, alien landscape.
The lineup also includes a cooperative horror game where players must communicate without speaking, relying on gestures and environmental cues to survive. A satirical simulation about running a failing theme park rounds out the more lighthearted entries. Festival organizers emphasized that this year's selection was curated to highlight games that challenge traditional mechanics and storytelling methods.
The Tribeca Festival will run from June 5 through June 16 in New York City. Public attendees can play demos of all 12 games during the event, with developers present for discussions and Q&A sessions. The full list of titles will be released closer to the festival date.
