Every gadget you craft in Subnautica 2 comes with a fresh battery, but that initial charge won't last forever. Once your scanner starts flickering or your seaglide sputters to a halt, you need a reliable way to juice things back up. The good news is the ocean floor is full of solutions, but you have to know where to look and what to build.
The simplest early-game method is the Battery Charger. You unlock its blueprint by scanning fragments found in the safe shallows and the kelp forest. Build it inside your lifepod or a small base, plug in your drained batteries, and wait. It draws power from your base's energy grid, so make sure you have a solar panel or a thermal plant running. If you are away from base, you can swap dead batteries for fresh ones you crafted from copper ore and acid mushrooms.
For mid-game convenience, the Power Cell Charger is a must. It works the same way but handles the larger power cells used by vehicles like the Seamoth and the Prawn Suit. Keep in mind that charging multiple cells at once can drain your base fast. A single thermal generator near a volcanic vent can handle the load, but a single solar panel might struggle at night.
If you are exploring deep caves or the arctic zones, consider carrying a spare set of batteries. You can also build a small outpost with a single solar panel and a charger to act as a pit stop. Just remember that salt deposits and quartz are your friends for crafting the wiring kits you will need. Stay powered, stay alive.
